Background
I am currently a member of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Alma College, where my teaching primarily focuses on core computer science and artificial intelligence topics. I have previously led May Term courses to both Jamaica and Ecuador, the Ecuador trip being in 2003. At Alma I supervise NSF funded research projects on using visualization to teach computer algorithms and on using robotics as a unifying theme in computer science education. Outside of computer science my primary interests are ornithology and ecology.
