Cost of Trip
The price of the trip will be between US $3,600 and $3,700. Students participating in the cloud forest program will have a surcharge of US $100.
Includes:
- Plane ticket USA - Quito - USA
- Ecuador land tour as described on schedule
- Plane ticket Quito - Galapagos - Quito
- Galapagos trip
- Week Two Activity: Teaching, Hospital Observation, Additional Spanish, or Cloud Forest
- Room & full board
- Bilingual guides and private transportation
Does not include:
- Tips
- Extra beverages
- Exit fee at the Quito airport ($35). Each participant will pay this tax individually upon departure. No tourist is permitted to leave the country without payment of this tax so it is crucial to remember to save funds for this purpose.

- April 6: rest of your payment
The final payment will vary depend on the exact cost of the trip and whether you are part of the cloud forest experience.
Refunds and cancellations
We will forward to the Academia Latinoamericana Admissions Office your completed application form and a non-refundable deposit of $1480 (per person) dollars no later than January 12th, 2007. This deposit is part of the class cost.
For any cancellation of individual participants, the Academia will apply the following:
- No portion of the deposit will be refunded at any time for any reason.
- If the cancellation is received between 0 and 60 days before to the date of beginning of our services, 100% of the total Academia payment will be retained.
Liability
The responsibility and liability of Academia and its representatives is limited to the above conditions and those described in other publications and brochures. No responsibility is accepted, or implied, for loss or additional expense due to delay or change in schedule, negligence, omission, political variances, act of God, theft, medical, legal, customs regulations, or from any other cause at any other time by a student, accompanying participant, family member or heir. The Academia and its representatives reserve the right to discontinue any student's or participant's program at any time for any reason deemed inappropriate. Everyone with payment of deposit understands and agrees to all terms, conditions and limitations and upon signing the application.
